This photos document the titanic construction of the
sequencer which schematics you can find at www.ucapps.de.
The
construction took three full days in a very hot August month. Note
the push button: they are recovered from an old PC keyboard (for
free...), and they permitted me to save a huge amount of money, since
a simply push button can cost up to 1 euro, and here there are about
50 push buttons! The metal case was bought at a flea market for about
15 euro!
I used this hardware in various songs, to create
bassline, drumloops, synth lines, etc.
The following mp3 records
the first test of this machine. All that you will hear comes from a
Korg03RW connected directly to the sequencer. It was ALL improvised
LIVE, after programming some patterns. The Korg produces all the
sound that you will hear, and the mixing was done directly on this
synth.
The pattern were selected on the fly, and with the
masterkeyboard i did some transposition.
