I have always been a fan of fantasy settings and epic / medieval music. I wanted to recreate the feeling of an old medieval song, a sort of dance, to imagine being in an English castle, at the court of a King during a banquet. Immerse yourself in the medieval world with this composition!
The Pungi was the ideal instrument to mimic an old medieval trumpet. It is a wonderful instrument and, even if it is capable of playing just a couple of notes, it has a very distinctive sound. The ceremonial trumpet from Morocco was a very obvious choice to make the accompaniment, and so were the two percussive instruments I chose to highlight the rhytm.
